As I haven’t read any of the nominees in this category (here’s the list at Amazon.com, since for some reason I can’t access the RWA site), no comment on if this deserved to win or if another book wuz robbed. But congrats to Caridad and all the other winners. You can’t please ‘em all.
This was an AWESOME book — really awesome, I enjoyed it VERY MUCH reading it for Cybils. Intelligent professor Dad, great dad-daughter relationship, talented daughter — and she AND Dad get a well-deserved romance. There are unexpected things — big upsets and surprises. WELL DONE indeed. Yay!
Between you and Jackie and the Booklist review (”hot sex”!), I’m gonna have to read it.
